Viji grew up watching the ocean from the Sri Lankan coast, drawn to it like the tide itself. At fifteen, he paddled out for the first time and never looked back.

Viji holds an international surf instructor certification and maintains current first aid and CPR training. He speaks English, Sinhala, and Tamil, making lessons accessible to visitors from around the world. Safety is never negotiable.

Viji Surf Charity Program is a community initiative dedicated to supporting children by offering free surf lessons in a safe and encouraging environment.
Through surfing, we aim to build confidence, discipline, joy, and life skills, while giving children the opportunity to connect with the ocean and experience new possibilities — completely free of charge.
